Workin’ for the Weekend

Oh hey Friday! What took you so damn long to get here? It’s been a long week at work and I’m so looking forward to a little bit of R&R. The plan? No plans. I just want to frolic through the fall foliage, take a nap in the park and spend as much time outdoors as possible. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Fresh Air

The days of no white after Labor Day are long gone. To me, all-white-everything is a year-round look and I think the little white dress is a breath of fresh air considering all the plaid, leather and dark colors that have been taking over our wardrobes lately. I paired my LWD (on major sale!) with season-appropriate accessories like a pair of leopard heels and a simple black clutch. But my favorite detail has to be this cute little beetle necklace … because when else could I ever use the words “cute” and “beetle” in the same sentence?

Fall Fling

One of my favorite dresses is back for fall. I originally fell in love with this teal maxi dress from LOFT earlier this summer and I plan on wearing it until it’s too cold to be rockin’ the side slit. The best part is that transitioning a maxi from summer to fall doesn’t require that much effort. All you need is a denim jacket and a leopard clutch and you’ll have that dress doing double duty in no time. Sadly, it’s not longer available at LOFT, but the entire site is 40% off through Saturday — so shop to it and have a wonderful weekend!
