Fall on the West Coast

After spending the first week of November in Arizona, I remembered how wonderful fall is on the West Coast — that is, if you can even consider it a real season there. No crunchy golden leaves on the ground — just glorious sunshine and tepid temps all day. I reached for light layers that still emitted a bit of autumnal aura, like this silky sweatshirt-inspired top and a faux leather flared skirt. And those strappy heels — oh man, how I’m going to miss open-toed weather.

Bear Down x100

There is exactly one weekend in the year that is more magical than Christmas, more sentimental than Valentine’s Day and more epic than New Years … and that, my friends, is Homecoming Weekend. If you went to the University of Arizona, you already know. If you didn’t, I hope your alma mater has as much heart and spirit as mine.

I’m back in Tucson this weekend to celebrate the 100th Homecoming with my best friends. If that isn’t enough reason to fly across the country, I don’t know what is. You better believe that I’ll be decked out in red and navy (and a little dash of leopard) all weekend. And if you’re a fellow Wildcat in the area, I hope to see you there! Happy Friday and Bear Down!

Floral Bomber

This week, I’m out on the West Coast enjoying one last dose of sunshine, open-toed sandals and cut-off shorts. Meanwhile on the blog, I’m still celebrating all things all fall. I’m loving this floral print bomber jacket (which I also happen to own in pant form) and when I get back to New York, it’s going to be my go-to topper for frolicking through Central Park’s gorgeous foliage.
