houndstooth.

Nothing says cold-weather is here like a little houndstooth.  The well-known pattern was originally used in a weaving technique of wool cloth, but it now comes in different materials, sizes, and colors.  Time to inject a little bit (or a lot!) of this preppy pattern into my winter wardrobe!

tight + slouchy.

My love for oversized sweaters is back, just in time for cooler weather.  You might remember this top in blue from a few weeks ago.  I also bought a dusty rose version and balanced its looseness with a pair of temp appropriate tights and boots.  This look makes me feel like cooler weathers are finally here to stay, but I guess that’ll be up to mother nature to decide.

fall remix.

Remember this skirt?  Even though I purchased it back in March (and wore it for my first post ever!), I’ve racked up tons of mileage out of it this floral number.  Thanks to all the different colors in the print, I’ve been able to constantly remix it into different looks, dressing it up and down and for both warmer and cooler weather.

To make the skirt fit for fall, I actually wore a lace navy dress underneath and layered the skirt on top.  The orange skinny belt adds a pop of color and gold hardware pulls the whole look together.
