Gray Day

I love a good snow day as much as the next gal, but the magic of a pristine blanket of white lasts for only about fifteen minutes or so. For the rest of the week, everything gray: gray skies, gray slush (ugh) and for me lately, gray outfits. As much as I want to diversify my winter wardrobe, I basically live in long sweaters and leggings during the week. Can you blame me? I’m too busy focusing on not falling over an icy sidewalk!

Black & White & Brunch

And all of a sudden, it’s Monday again. I wish I could rewind to Saturday brunch with Courtney and Daisy. Getting together with other bloggers is one of my favorite things to do. Besides sharing a love for fashion, there’s a mutual understanding that no one touches their food until the perfect Instagram shot has been taken (an important principle that my fiancé has slowly come to embrace). For our afternoon outing to Foragers in Chelsea, I wore this black and white sweater and a pair of coated leggings. Fall on the West Coast

After spending the first week of November in Arizona, I remembered how wonderful fall is on the West Coast — that is, if you can even consider it a real season there. No crunchy golden leaves on the ground — just glorious sunshine and tepid temps all day. I reached for light layers that still emitted a bit of autumnal aura, like this silky sweatshirt-inspired top and a faux leather flared skirt. And those strappy heels — oh man, how I’m going to miss open-toed weather.
