Later this week, James and I are headed down to St. Martin for a little tropical getaway. I did a little pre-vacay shopping this past weekend, but I have a bit more outfit planning and packing to do. I’m thinking strappy sandals (although I’ll probably be barefoot the entire time), bright rompers and tropical print everything. While we’re on the subject of Derby-inspired style, I can’t help but think that this coral number from eShakti fits the bill perfectly. It embodies all my favorite things about spring style: pretty pastels, flowy fabrics and just an all around flirty feel. Just cue the big floppy hat and call it a day!

Hot off the trail of my spring maxi dress roundup, I was super excited to don the newest maxi in what will surely be a growing collection. So excited in fact, that I apparently couldn’t wait to hem the dress before I wore it.
A much needed trip to the tailor aside, I actually feel taller in a maxi dress. A soft, solid color elongates the body and a easy flowing fabric enhances that no muss, no fuss look that I’ve been loving lately. Just excuse the pool of fabric around my feet and pretend that it adds to the romance of the look.
