It’s somehow Monday again and I need all of the coffee. This weekend went by much too quickly, what with the shorter days and now the pre-winter chill that has just officially rolled in. Up until yesterday, I could still get away wearing a simple cami or a short-sleeve tee outside but now sweater weather is here and I don’t think it’s leaving anytime soon.
So let’s have fun with it before we’re all condemned to bundle up in bulk. I love the idea of a light crewneck sweater over a floral pencil skirt. It’s cozy enough to survive a dip in degrees, but still refined enough for the office. An outfit that’s weather and work appropriate? Count me in.

When it comes to neutrals, black and white has kind of been my jam lately (see exhibit A and B). But as we dive further into fall, I’m craving subdued hues that are a little richer and a little more luxe. Enter the new color contenders: navy, dove grey, blush and camel. Pieces like this moto jacket, this crossbody bag and this two-toned tote make for the perfect fall refresh on the classics and I’m dying to add them into the rotation. I’m a firm believer in the saying: when you know what you love, get it in every color. As for me and drop waist dresses? It was one of those love at first sight feelings. I wore my first last week in navy and knew I would adore it just as much in red. Spoiler alert: I was right. Just add a cozy knit moto jacket and you basically have my uniform for the rest of the season.
