Remember this dress? Well today, it’s doing double duty as a top. This outfit was actually from way back in May, which I barely got around to shooting it last week. I wore it with this gorgeous floral skirt the day before our wedding – we went to the courthouse with our family to get all the paperwork together and then had brunch with my beautiful bridesmaids. Nothing like a little Throwback Monday to get the week started!

Fun fact: my favorite park in New York City isn’t actually in New York City. Over the weekend, James and I went out to Brooklyn to grab ice cream and hang out in Prospect Park. It takes 45 minutes to get there from where we live, but it’s well worth the trek. I love it way more than Central Park, because it actually feels like an escape from the hustle and grind. There are way less tourists and even though there’s sometimes a crowd, the vibe is much more laid back and much more enjoyable.
We rolled out a little striped blanket, snapped photos of our pup on our instant film camera and hung out while the sun set. I wore this striped linen dress, which is a material that I don’t wear often enough. It’s simple and lightweight and perfect for a little lounging. I highly recommend picking up some easy linen pieces and getting yourself out to Prospect Park this summer!

I didn’t mean for this week to be all about rompers and jumpsuits, but that’s just how things played out (see exhibit A and exhibit B). Oh, and I just bought this one from Lou & Grey the other day. This may turn out to be a full blown addiction, but can you blame me? I just love a good one-piece outfit. I wore this bright, floral number on our visit to Asbury Park, NJ a few weekends ago (and yes, I also own this print in a maxi dress).
