Skirt The Rules // Mint Swing DressI can’t remember the last time I got to wear a flowy dress, but you better believe I got my fair share of them while I was back in Arizona.  In warmer weather, I live in airy dresses like this.  They’re just so comfortable and easy — and I’m not gonna lie, when James and I stuffed our faces during our menu and cake tasting for our wedding, this cami dress came in handy … for obvious reasons.

Skirt The Rules // Pale Pink Coat & Boyfriend Jeans

I was thinking about getting all dolled up for a Valentine’s Day outfit, but let’s be real: it’s been way too cold for that.  Instead, I’m breaking out my new pale pink coat and keeping things casual with a pair of relaxed jeans and a comfy cream sweater.  I love celebrating a good holiday, but I try not to take this one too seriously.  There’s so much pressure to have a fancy night out, when really, I just need a $5 bouquet of tulips and a slice of pizza from around the corner. #easytoplease What’re your plans for Valentine’s Day this year?

Gray Day

Skirt The Rules // Black & White Checkered Blanket Scarf

I love a good snow day as much as the next gal, but the magic of a pristine blanket of white lasts for only about fifteen minutes or so.  For the rest of the week, everything gray: gray skies, gray slush (ugh) and for me lately, gray outfits.  As much as I want to diversify my winter wardrobe, I basically live in long sweaters and leggings during the week.  Can you blame me?  I’m too busy focusing on not falling over an icy sidewalk!
