As much I love skirts (I do have a blog name to live up to, afterall), I just don’t wear enough of them during the winter because I hate hate hate tights. Hate. But I think we’ve finally hit a turning point — even though there’s still a little bit of snow on the ground, spring is in the air!
And so the bare legs are back in NYC! Obviously they need to catch a few more rays, but I couldn’t wait to take this striped midi skirt out on the town. I paired it over a floral dress from last summer and the mixed print combo immediately added an extra pep to my step. Sunnier days ahead, my friends!

I’ve pined over matching sets before and lately, I feel like the trend has been popping up everywhere. From pretty prints to bold colors — this was a look that I had to try. So when I donned this floral two-piece back in Arizona, the first thing my fiancé said to me was, “Are you really wearing that?” #manrepelling
Not gonna lie, I did feel a little over the top in matching floral prints, but hey, why not embrace the garden party look? We could use a little spring over here on the East Coast! When I think of March, I think about road trips, barbecues and pool parties. I dream about flouncy swimsuits and eyelet skirts and I imagine myself lounging by the pool, catching up on all my favorite magazines. And then I realize that the first days of the month in New York actually look like this. The struggle is real guys. March will always conjure up the memories of spring break, the promise of colorful blooms and even brighter swimwear. We’re almost there guys — I can feel it! I got a taste of it back in Arizona a few weeks ago and I can only hope warmer days make their way over to the east coast ASAP.
