brunch + beach.

Burrito @ Orange Inn in Laguna Beach

To kick off Spring Break 2011, the beau and I took a mini-roadtrip up the west coast, heading first to Laguna Beach for brunch. The Orange Inn Burrito was delish, but then again, I’m a sucker for anything containing avocado.

I’ll admit that I watched the synonymous MTV “reality” television show back in the day.  But I actually love Laguna for its laid back, village-y ambience.  People brought their dogs everywhere, surfers floated patiently in the water for the next decent wave, and everyone in general was friendly and carefree.

Wish we could have spent more time there, but a few hours taking in the sights and weather was enough to feel relaxed for days.

Hope you’re enjoying your spring break!  And if you don’t have one to enjoy, feel free to soak up the pics, even if its just for a moment in your hectic day.

hello world!

If you’re reading this inaugural post, then you probably already know me and were loving/curious/bored enough to click on my Facebook link.  Thanks for your kindness!

And if we haven’t met, well get ready!  My name is Jen and I’m a second-year law student from Arizona.  When I’m not reading court cases or writing memos (but am probably supposed to), I’m following my biggest interest in life: fashion.

It didn’t take me a long time to discover my passion, but it did take me a while to admit it to myself and to you.  So here it is: I love fashion.  I love culture.  And I love that style is a form of personal expression limited for the world to see.

So as my interest in style and culture grew so much that I could no longer keep it to myself (and the boyfriend can only listen to so much of it without exploding), I decided to start this blog.  It’ll be part personal style, part fashion, part culture, part inspiration board, part scrapbook, and a whole lotta miscellaneous.

There are a few people in my life who are currently following their dreams against all odds and I envy them.  Some of them moved across the country, some of them turned their passions into objectives, and some of them were just brave enough to get out of a career that knew they never wanted.  This blog is dedicated to them.  Because of you, this is what I tell people when they ask me about my post-grad plans: I don’t know what I want to do, but I know where I want to be.

I’m not sure what exactly will become of this blog, but I do hope you follow along on my journey.  Enjoy!
