Luxe Leopard

Like I said yesterday, the faux fur is officially out of hibernation and the first order of business: this leopard coat that I scored on major sale last winter. You know I’m no stranger to leopard, but somehow I manage to be simultaneously in love and intimidated with this coat. It’s a little ostentatious, but hey, when in NYC — anything goes.

To avoid going from good to gaudy, I kept the rest of my outfit relatively relaxed. A light polka dot blouse adds a subtle mixed print flare, but skinny pants and neutral accessories let the showstopper speak for itself.

The best part of developing your personal style is knowing that there are no limitations and that there is no final product. My wardrobe changes depending on the season, the weather, the day of the week, my plans and most importantly, my mood. All of those variables led me to go a little wild this weekend with a snake embossed tee, some leopard loafers, and a pair of mirrored sunnies. It might not be my usual bright and feminine look, but it’s just as a bold and I feel just as great.
