Truth be told, buying clothes on Amazon can be a hit or a miss.

I’ve been getting a lot of my clothes and accessories from Amazon lately (last seen here, here and here). I’ve been pretty happy with my purchases, but I’d say about 20% of the clothes I order end up getting returned because of fit or quality. I won’t even bother photographing and sharing the things I don’t like because I don’t want to waste your time!
I wanted to like this dress so much that I think I ended up shooting it. I loved the idea of a wrap dress that was more on the casual/cozy side. Plus the open back detail (scroll down to see) was a fun, unexpected detail!
Unfortunately, the quality of the dress didn’t match the photos of the listing. In the modeled photos, the dress has a ribbed texture to it, but in reality, it’s more of a thin sweatshirt material. The fabric is waaaay baggier in the sleeves than I prefer and yet somehow much tighter in the skirt area than necessary.
I would say that while this dress is only $24, it’s a no go. Sorry for wasting your time by posting it, but I did want to share a bit of caution when shopping for clothes on Amazon. For good measure, I only order things that are marked free returns (usually all Prime Eligible stuff) so that I can easily send it back when it doesn’t work out.

I’ve never bought clothes from Amazon (or anything else really) and it does seem like not the greatest place to shop. The dress has potential but it doesn’t look flattering and the material doesn’t look great. But you do look beautiful as always though haha
I totally agree with you on this one – not my favorite dress, not flattering and not great material. Wish I hadn’t wasted my timing photographing this one. While there are some flops on Amazon, I’ve found a lot of great items of decent quality and fit! It’s a gamble, but I always stick to things with free shipping and returns!
