1. Finish Decorating Our Apartment
I’ve heard that you’re never really finished decorating, but I’d like to at least feel 95% there! Since we bought an apartment in August, we’ve unpacked all our boxes (which took two months) and got the necessary furniture (like this sectional sleeper sofa, our dining table and the dining chairs of my dreams). But since then, we’ve lost momentum. Our walls are blank, our floors need rugs and I’ve got a hodgepodge of mismatched pillows piling up on our sofa. I’m so indecisive when it comes to home decor that I tend to feel paralyzed by all of the options. At our old apartment, it took me three years to hang something up on the wall – I’m that bad! And while I generally fear the commitment of putting holes in the walls or making large purchases on furniture, I need to remind myself that personal style does change (for fashion and home decor!) and in the end, things can be easily resold and swapped out. So here’s to pulling the trigger!
2. Start a Photography Biz
I think it’s time that my side hustle needs a side hustle. I love blogging (I’ve been doing for nearly eight years now!), but from this I also discovered that what I love taking photos of things that aren’t me and editing them. And I think I could really be good at taking photos for others during their special moments. And really, how long am I going to keep taking photos of myself? This has been a dream of mine for a few years now, but for some reason I never really knew when or where to start. But it’s kind of like blogging. You just have to start, so I’m taking a few photos of my friends and family over the next few months to build my portfolio.
It feels weird that not to have a laundry list of things I want to achieve this year, but I also think it’s important to narrow down your priorities and just go after them. So let’s do this!

These are great goals and big ones too! It is so true with goal 1. We have our place for 7 years and it still doesn’t feel complete haha. And I am so excited for you on your second goal! Can’t wait to hear updates on that!
