An Eye for All Things Eyelet

Happy Tuesday friends! I hope you had a relaxing Memorial Day Weekend because I know I sure did!

James and I took a quick trip to Seattle to visit a few of our best friends. It was the first trip we took where I didn’t bring my DSLR camera or pack outfits to shoot. We jetted off just to spend time with good friends, go hiking and grill out on the back patio. No outfit photos, no Instagram stories – not going to lie, it was pretty glorious and I wish I did it more often!

But back to the matter at hand: this outfit that I shot a few weekends ago. It was love at first sight with this eyelet peplum top because it just felt like the epitome of spring. I think everyone agreed because it’s already sold out, but thankfully there are some similar styles here and here. I mean, all you have to do is search “eyelet top” and you’re bound to find some good ones! Then there’s this crazy splurge of a bag, which I bought used off another blogger – it was such a good deal and I had been eyeing this style for years that there was no hesitation! Finally, my beloved high waisted skinny jeans that I’ve been wearing all season long. I swear by them – they’re stretchy, but structured, the perfect length (wearing the short version) and only $40! Yes, you need them in every wash!
