It’s no secret that I love New York. We’ve lived here for more than half a decade (woah!) and in the same apartment too. Every time we consider moving to a different area in the city, I get cold feet because I’m not ready to part ways with my favorite thing about living in NYC: our neighborhood.

I know, I know. Every person that lives in NYC will say that their neighborhood is the best. But mine really is. The block that I live on is a pretty quiet street, but with a quick ten minute walk, you’re in the heart of the Flatiron District. The area gets its fair share of tourists thanks to the Flatiron Building and Eataly, but it still feels like home to me. It’s our subway stop to commute to work every day. It’s where we take our pup to the dog park on beautiful summer evenings. And we even recently starting going to a gym that looks out onto Madison Square Park. It may not be as romantic as the West Village or as trendy as Chelsea, but it will always feel like my little slice of the city!

P.S. If you love NYC as much as I do, then you NEED this t-shirt!

Wow, what an awesome area you live in! I used to live in Chinatown, DC and I thought it was awesome but I recently moved to a new neighborhood and it’s now my new favorite area of DC so I totally get it.

I love this look – those leopard pumps are the best!

I live in Nomad and absolutely love it! The street traffic is a nightmare, but it’s essentially empty when people aren’t commuting to work. And I may be biased, but Madison Sq Park is my favorite park in the city.

Funny story – I actually saw you and your husband at Mad Square Eats last summer, but didn’t want to bother y’all 🙂
