Monaco was an easy 20-minute train ride from Nice or a 45-min bus ride if you prefer the scenic route along the gorgeously blue coastline of Cote d’Azur. It’s not a big town, so we only spent the afternoon there — arriving just in time for lunch, a stroll through the streets of Monaco-Ville and then across the way to Monte Carlo.
It’s about a 30-minute leisurely walk from one end to the other. Not bad by New York standards, but under the Mediterranean sun, it can get quite a bit hot! That’s obviously where this cold shoulder romper comes in handy. I knew I wanted to dress up for Monaco, but not at the expense of heat exhaustion. Every single street was full of charm and the pretty ruffle details and satiny finish helped me fit right in.
