Bliss Triple Oxygen Radiance Restoring Mist / Peter Thomas Roth Night Serum / Shiseido Ibuki Moisturizer / M-61 Hydraboost Cream / Aveda Hand Relief Moisturizing Creme / Vaseline Lip Therapy / Bliss Lemon + Sage Body Butter
I think I’ve made it pretty clear that winter is my least favorite of all four seasons. I’d much rather stay snuggled up in bed until the snow melts, the days get longer and the temps get warm enough to go outside with bare legs again. And while hibernation is very much in full effect during this time of year, there’s one thing I don’t skimp out on: my skincare routine. One of the perks of being a blogger is the opportunity to test out new products and lately, I’ve been relying on a few favorites to nourish and protect my skin this winter.
For the body:
My skin skews on the dry side to begin with, but even more so during the winter. I’ve gotten into the habit of applying lotion first thing in the morning and last thing at night to keep my skin feeling hydrated 24/7. If you haven’t tried Bliss Body Butter in Lemon + Sage, then you haven’t truly lived. It’s obviously more expensive than your every day lotion (I slather on this one on the regular), but the citrusy scent is so refreshing and is chalk full of moisturizing goodness like shea butter and coconut oil. For the hands, I’ve been using Aveda’s Hand Relief Cream. It’s light, non-greasy and part of the proceeds benefits the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (#winwin).
For the face (during the day).
When I first starting using foundation a little over a year ago (I know, what was I even doing with my life?), I noticed that it looked a little cakey. It never really dawned on me that my face needed to be moisturized too (I told you, I’m a beauty rookie). Since then, I’ve been using Shiseido’s Ibuki Protective Moisturizer. It’s non-oily, very light and has a hint of SPF for sun protection. I’ve also been into hydrating mists lately. I’ve been playing around with Peter Thomas Roth’s Cucumber Detox Mist, but I really love Bliss Triple Oxygen Radiance Restoring Mist. You can spritz it before you apply makeup or afterwards for an instant refresh. It’s also supposed to have ingredients that protect your skin from all things gross floating around in the environment – please and thank you!
For the face (at night).
Setting up a nighttime routine has been a little challenging for me, but after seeing how it can positively affect my skin, I’m realizing that the five extra minutes at night is well worth it. After cleansing my face, I apply an overnight serum like this one, which helps to restore and renew skin cells, reduce fine lines and wrinkles and leave you with a healthy, bright complexion. I also layer on a hydrating night cream, which is a little thicker your daytime moisturizer. I’m obsessed with M-61’s Hydraboost Cream right now. I’ve been using it every night for the past few weeks and have been waking up with super soft skin.
Great post! I suffer from eczema so I need all the moisturizers I can get my hands on during the winter! I love that Bliss Body Butter – have you tried their grapefruit one? It’s awesome too!
I use that Aveda hand cream as well and I LOVE the smell and the fact that it’s not greasy! I’m actually on the hunt for a super moisturizing body lotion so I’ll have to give this Bliss Body Butter a try! Thanks for the recommendations!

I love this! Winter skincare is so important. My skin gets so sensitive in the winter.
