Today, James and I are finally heading off on our honeymoon! We got hitched back in May, but decided to settle into the married life beforehand. I’m so glad we did because I’ve been looking forward to this adventure all summer! We’re jetting off to Italy, where we’ll visit Milan, Venice, Florence, Capri and Positano – needless to say, I can’t wait to get there!
As a serial overpacker, I really tried to be more planful with what I threw in my suitcase for this trip. Clothing wise, I packed a few of my favorite camis (they’re reversible, so I can get double the wear!), easy summer dresses and a leather crossbody bag monogrammed with my new initials.
In terms of electronics, let’s just say we’re prepared to get our tourist on. James picked up a new GoPro 4, I have my DSLR and we’re bringing a portable WiFi hotspot with us to stay connected – plus an external battery charger to keep everything juiced. Fall may be around the corner, but the weather would say otherwise right now. It usually doesn’t start cooling off for another few weeks, but stores are already stocked with with sweaters, jeans and even puffer vests (ugh, shoot me). The only upside to this are the end of summer sales online – it’s your best bet at still snagging an easy, breezy dress at a pretty major discount.
