After a week of ominous clouds and sporadic showers, we were rewarded with plenty of sunshine and a gorgeous summer breeze. It was the perfect weekend to sip a little rooftop rosé. Mother Nature must have gotten the memo: don’t mess with Saturdays.
Sadly, it looks like my little respite from rain will be short-lived. I’m headed to Chicago this week where the forecast is looking grim and gloomy five of the six days that I’m there (c’mon Chitown!). I’ll definitely be packing my new favorite trench coat (on sale now!) and trading in my high heels for some more appropriate footwear. In the mean time, just let me have my moment!

I love this — mostly because, oh my god the stripes! This coat is a dream! Have fun in Chitown. Don’t you wish you could wear heels everywhere? But doing the tourist runaround is not fun when you feet hurt. This look would be just as good for Chicago with a fun pair of flats.
