This week, I …
• Am heading over to Kate Spade where they’re offering 20% off your purchase today only! On my wish list: this red bow bag, this hot pink skirt, these two toned pumps and pretty much everything else in their new arrivals.
• Shared my latest color crush. What do you think of this ultra feminine hue?
• Think I’m ready to make my foray into cropped tops. I love the idea of pairing this top with this skirt.
• Discovered (the hard way) that airport security is not a big fan of statement necklaces.
• Learned that I will forever be a sucker for black and white stripes.
• Am officially sick of winter. Bright blooms and bold colors from here on out!
• Wish I could justify buying this insane floral jacket or this gorgeous floral skirt, but for now, I’m just going to ogle them from afar.
• Watched the Super Bowl — and by “watched,” I mean occasionally looking up at the screen when a cute commercial came on. But I did pick the Seahawks to win, because I love me an underdog.
• Am swooning over this black and white windowpane dress. Tres chic!
• Flew to Raleigh, NC on my first day of the new job for a leadership conference. I feel so inspired and lucky to be a part of such an amazing brand!

Another day, another dress — except this one has a few details that make the frock feel extra special. For starters, helloooo radiant orchid! The color of the year is vividly energizing and makes everything feel like spring (despite the fact that we’re scheduled for three snowstorms this week). But the icing on the cake has to be the scalloped neckline (to which my boyfriend asked if I took a pair of craft scissors to it). Life is in the details and this dress pretty much fits the bill.

When it comes to special occasions, I have the tendency to buy an outfit only to never wear it again. Well, not this year. Part of the reason why I set a monthly shopping budget was to work with my wardrobe in new ways. Since I bought this red lace dress for Valentine’s Day last year, it’s about time I bust it out again for a remix.
The easiest way to transform an outfit? Top it with a blazer — brownie points if it’s of the tuxedo variety. You add instant polish and class, and best of all, that special little dress lives to see another day.
