Peonies & Coffee Table BooksThis week I …

• Am prepping for a few upcoming adventures and invested in a new suitcase.  Crap — that doesn’t count as a clothing expense, does it?

• Got a little cray in Brooklyn.  Someone, please stop letting me mix bourbon and tequila.  It ain’t pretty.

• Was spotted on C. Wonder’s blog for a fashion faux pas that you have to try!

• Survived another snow storm, but I almost caved and bought a puffer coat.  I’m not a big fan of the bulkiness, but ugh, I’m getting desperate people.

• Finally pulled the trigger and ordered our very first piece of furniture from Society Social!  Eee!

• Have my eye on full midi skirts for spring.  This one’s red hot.

• Decided to start growing my collection of coffee table books.  I need your recommendations!

• Am pining over these black and cognac heels.  They’re absolutely timeless.

• Plan on scooping up a few new work pieces from Ann Taylor.  Everything’s 50% off — happy shopping friends!

Get the puffer coat. Maybe it’s different in NYC, but in Chicago there’s no shame in looking like the Michelin man. Add some cute accessories and just own the look! I think puffer coats are way more durable than wool coats in climates with snow or freezing rain, and they also don’t retain smells like wool coats do.
