holiday sparkle

Black Sequin Party Skirt

It’s almost time to round out the holiday season and you better believe that I’m breaking out the sequins to ring in the new year.  I know, I know, there’s so much pressure for New Year’s Eve to be amazing and set the bar for the rest of the next 365 days.  So here’s my advice to you: lower your expectations.
Black Sequin Party Outfit

Last year, I spent NYE at a dive bar with the boyfriend and a few close friends, where our champagne toast was actually a round of jäger bombs.  We consorted with an assortment of characters that you would expect to find at such a fine establishment and ended the night belting out karaoke with our new BFFs.   I would say that it was one of the best nights of my life, but then there would be too much pressure for this year to follow suit, now wouldn’t there?

Whatever your plans may be, I hope you have a wonderful and sparkly new year!

Love the sequins, and totally agree about setting expectations low and resisting comparison. My NYE was amazing too, and I already know this one will be different. That said, I’m sure it will be its own version of fun!
