You know how you can suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder from lack of sunlight in the winter? Well I’m pretty sure you can get it from too much humidity in the summer. Last week was quite possibly the hottest, muggiest week of my entire life and the extended heat wave affected my mood, my energy and my motivation to do anything.
Thankfully, blogging keeps me inspired to get dressed in the morning — against all desire just to lay in bed by the air conditioner. So when it comes time to pull together an outfit, the creative juices start flowing, leading me to refresh an old top (last seen here) and an old skirt (last seen here) into a revamped outfit with a rejuvenated outlook on the day.

Yuck DC has been having the same horribly oppressive weather. What’s the point of dressing cute if 5 minutes outside and you are drenched. Although you pull it off amazingly! Hopefully it will pass soon. 🙂
