Love and excitement is in the air! Besides the buzz of NYFW and the thrill of rebranding my blog, I’m also celebrating Valentine’s Day with pops and punches of red in all of this week’s outfits. What can I say? I’m a sucker for holidays, themes, and love.
Yesterday, I headed over to Lincoln Center for some stylish people watching with Tracy, Christina, and Katie. It was my first chance to wear this darling white polka dot dress from Lulu’s — an adorable little number that I know will be on heavy rotation come spring. A bright red clutch (my favorite thing to steal from Tracy) and a pair of leopard print pumps make for an overall sweet and spicy balance.

Ouh, I really love this! I was hoping to add pops of red into my wardrobe this week, but it turns out I hardly have anything that is red in my wardrobe. I have one belt, but it’s almost burgundy… I guess that’s what happens when you have red hair: you avoid all other red!
Say what! Your comment made me go on a Google and Pinterest search binge looking for red heads in red. It’s totally a great look! Case in point: http://pinterest.com/pin/60306082482422071/
Ok, I have to say that that is gorgeous. I might just be super self conscious about it!
No need to dive right in. There are definitely a few colors/trends that I get self-conscious about. Start with small doses and when you feel comfortable enough, hit everyone with an all-out showstopper! 😉
I love the idea of having bright red accessories, like a bag, a hair bow or a pair of heels, but I have definitely been avoiding it. I’m really excited now! I’m going to keep my eyes out. I’ll be all set for Valentine’s Day 2014!
Great pics Jenny! It was so nice meeting you at IFBCon last week. I tried to do some style watching myself, but Nemo got in the way! Love the dress!
