Now that we’re on the last leg of 2013, the months are just flying by andnd the weather is changing just as quickly. It felt like we went from sweltering hot to cool and crisp overnight — but I’m not complaining. This month’s transitional weather called for a mix of light layers, darker colors, and my signature pop of prints. I hate to admit it, but I was one of the maniacs that stayed up until 4:30 AM for the release of the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collections a few weeks ago. When the packages came in the mail, I couldn’t decide whether the sleep deprivation was worth it. But once this outfit came together, I felt a little bit better about my life. I’m all about creating luxe looks for less. And while the real 3.1 Phillip Lim is still on my wishlist, I’m glad I get to have a few fun pieces from the designer collab to call my own. Okay, so I’ll be completely honest here: I don’t really do country and I don’t do rodeos. Truth is, I once bought a pair of cowboy boots … and then only wore them once.
