Why does everyone tend to wear darker, more muted colors in the winter? As if the freezing temps and lack of sunlight weren’t depressing enough! Before moving to NYC, I made a promise to myself to keep wearing colorful clothes, even if that meant that I was the only one in a hot pink coat in a sea of black. Hey, at least that makes me easier to find!

Oh man, it’s December guys. It’s hard to believe that we’re on the last stretch of 2013 — these past few months have been flying by. And so has the seasons! Last month was full of fall foliage magic, but look closely at the transformation of my outfits (and the progression of the scenery!) and there’s no doubt that winter is here.
