Spring is here!!! … well, sort of.  The forecast still includes chilly temps and possibly snow later this week, but I’d like to think if I start dressing for spring, the season will follow suit.  So floral pants and neon pumps it is — the weather will have no choice but to cooperate!

I’ve actually never celebrated St. Patty’s Day before this past weekend, mostly because I’m not a huge fan of giant drunken crowds of people.  But I do love to get dressed up for holidays, themes or … no reason at all.  So maybe my SPD didn’t involve hitting the pubs first thing in the morning, but it was still very much filled with festive spirits!

Skirt The Rules Blog; NYC fashion blogger; style blog; spring outfit photosday one / year one / year two

The blog turns two today!  And even though a lot has changed since then, apparently my style philosophy has not.  Looking back on my outfits from  day one, year one and year two it’s clear color and print will always be a foundation in my wardrobe.  Topped with neutral accessories (a vanilla cupcake counts as neutral, right?) and you pretty much have my recipe for style through the years.  Cheers to aging gracefully and colorfully!
