New Years Eve has always been one of my favorite holidays. It’s about looking back on the accomplishments of the past year and looking forward to the adventures to come. Of course, it’s also about looking fab while ringing in the new year, which means throwing on a black velvet dress, big chunky jewelry, and a classic shaped clutch. The temperature’s cooling down and so is my color palette. Breezy weather (hellooo wind) means busting out my favorite blue blazer. In sticking with the cool temp and tones theme, I threw the blazer over a turquoise dress and purple necklace. I can only hope this weather is finally here to stay.

Remember this skirt? Even though I purchased it back in March (and wore it for my first post ever!), I’ve racked up tons of mileage out of it this floral number. Thanks to all the different colors in the print, I’ve been able to constantly remix it into different looks, dressing it up and down and for both warmer and cooler weather.
To make the skirt fit for fall, I actually wore a lace navy dress underneath and layered the skirt on top. The orange skinny belt adds a pop of color and gold hardware pulls the whole look together.
