For the party, I scooped up a new dress from Forever 21. I’m obsessed with the texture of this dress and I love that the black and neon combo is the perfect balance of brights for fall. But of course, it wouldn’t be #NYFW if I didn’t turn it up a few notches, so I paired geo print on geo print. The result: a mix of sharp shapes, punctuated with bold accessories throughout — a formula that will never get old!
I took a cue from the Obama girls and added a pop of purple to today’s outfit. The contrast between the black and white graphic print shirt and the bright violet blazer makes for a sharp, clean look. It reminds me of a variation I wore this past summer. And while temps in NYC are crazy cold this week, I’m inspired more than ever to keep my outfits bright and cheery all winter long.
It’s the last round of my style collaboration with Tara of Mix and Match Fashion, Sara of Glitter & Grace, and Jessica of Bows & Sequins. It’s been so much fun working with these creative ladies and for our final challenge, we’re showing you how to wear mixed prints.
You know I’m not shy when it comes to bold, playful patterns. When it comes to mixing them, I prefer to pair pieces with common colors and keep the accessories clean and simple. See how Tara, Sara, and Jess mixed prints in their outfits and let us know what you think!
