I took a cue from the Obama girls and added a pop of purple to today’s outfit.  The contrast between the black and white graphic print shirt and the bright violet blazer makes for a sharp, clean look.  It reminds me of a variation I wore this past summer.  And while temps in NYC are crazy cold this week, I’m inspired more than ever to keep my outfits bright and cheery all winter long.

The holiday break is halfway over and I’m heading back to NYC to gear up for the new year.  I’m switching out reds and greens for bright purples and deep blues.  Goodbye Christmas stockings, hello statement necklaces!

A few weeks ago, I took a quick trip back to Tucson to watch the bf graduate from his Master’s program.  To celebrate, I donned an outfit that was inspired by a little bit of Kate Middleton and a whole lot of school spirit.  I’m so proud of my guy and excited that only a few weeks stand in between us and our new adventures together in NYC!
