If you haven’t noticed by now, Facebook and Twitter have been flooded with pink and red equal signs in support of marriage equality as the Supreme Court hears oral arguments over California’s Prop. 8 ban on same-sex marriage. I don’t like getting up on soapboxes (I’ll leave the peeps on my Facebook newsfeed), but I’m proud to show my support in any way I can, even if it’s something as simple as wearing red and spreading the word. It’s about sharing the love — and that’s something I can get behind.

st. patty’s day.

I’ve actually never celebrated St. Patty’s Day before this past weekend, mostly because I’m not a huge fan of giant drunken crowds of people. But I do love to get dressed up for holidays, themes or … no reason at all. So maybe my SPD didn’t involve hitting the pubs first thing in the morning, but it was still very much filled with festive spirits!

turning two.

Tomorrow is my blog’s birthday and turning two has been anything but terrible! I started the festivities earlier this week with a bright and bold ensemble (surprise surprise) and a colorful cupcake to match. It took all the willpower in the world not to devour the birthday treat immediately, but you better believe that in the end, none of it went to waste!
