luxe for less.

I hate to admit it, but I was one of the maniacs that stayed up until 4:30 AM for the release of the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collections a few weeks ago. When the packages came in the mail, I couldn’t decide whether the sleep deprivation was worth it. But once this outfit came together, I felt a little bit better about my life. I’m all about creating luxe looks for less. And while the real 3.1 Phillip Lim is still on my wishlist, I’m glad I get to have a few fun pieces from the designer collab to call my own. There’s something undeniably classic about a pair of jeans and a crisp, white button-up, but, as you may have noticed, my definition of classic is anything but plain. My basics usually involve playful patterns and unexpected combinations and this outfit definitely delivers a twist on otherwise timeless pieces. Polka dot and leopard? They’re the new neutrals!

pink lady.

This past weekend, James, Tracy and I went on a cruise to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation and wearing this hot pink skirt for the occasion was a no brainer. I kept things simple the first time I wore this skirt, but this time around, I channeled a bit of the Pink Ladies from Grease. Part tough, part girly, and all for a good cause.
