My east coast friends warned me that February would be a downer — with the holiday season long gone and winter in full effect, seasonal depression would surely kick in. To my surprise, it was actually a great month. We got a bit of snow, but I didn’t let the freezing temps get me down. February was full of bright outfits, cozy layers, and a little bit of a winter adventure. With the days getting longer and the weather getting a little warmer, I can only imagine what’s to come for march!

color + class.

Last week, I loaded up my outfits with major doses of color. This week, I’m toning it down slightly — keeping my outfits bright, but grounded in neutral pieces. Color and class aren’t mutually exclusive. And whether you prefer to go all out or just add a few pops, there’s an appropriate level of color for everyone.

pastel preview.

It’s Friday and bright colors just seem like the proper way to usher in this weekend. I know we’re still a few weeks away from spring, but I couldn’t wait to bring out the pastels. Call it premature — I call it a preview of what’s to come. Happy weekend friends!
