It’s hard to believe that we’re already one month into the new year. It feels like yesterday that I was home for the holidays and making resolutions which I probably won’t keep. Instead, I’ve been on the grind in NYC — recently joined by the BF — and ready to tackle new opportunities and challenges. And if January is any indication of how the rest of 2013 will pan out, it’s going to be a stylish, adventure-filled year.

flannel + fur.

In the early hours of this past Saturday, NYC looked like a winter wonderland — untouched snow blanketed stoops, roofs, and cars. It was cold, but peaceful and it was the perfect chance for me to finally break out the snow boots (I bought them back in November, silly me!). Flannel, faux fur, and shearling-lined boots gave me a cozy, outdoor feel in a bone-chilling cold city.

I’m not a big fan of cold weather, yet somehow, the sight of snow covering the ground makes the bitter temps a bit more bearable. Not to mention — I get to bust out snow boots and extra layers. It’s snowing again today, so expect a few more outfits with me chillin’ in the snow before it quickly melts away.
