I have good and bad news. The bad news is that this is the last round of my style collaboration with Amanda of Little Miss Fearless, Lynzy of Sparkling Footsteps and Caitlin of A Little Dash of Darling. The good news? We’re showing you how to tackle one of my favorite trends: mixing florals and stripes!

I’ve been rocking this look so much this spring (last seen here and here) that I almost ran out of pieces to pair! But fret not, I pulled this gorgeous floral midi skirt from storage and threw it on with my favorite summer blouse. I raved about this style formula a few weeks ago and I stick by my words: pairing florals and stripes is the easiest and chicest way to mix prints.

belmont stakes.

This past Saturday, Tracy and I took a trip on the Long Island Rail Road over to Belmont Stakes, the third and final leg of the US Triple Crown (look at me pretending to know something about horse racing!). It was a fabulous escape from the city, complete with big hats, sundresses and mimosas. I couldn’t have asked for a better time — minus the fact that I lost $11 in bets (high roller, I know).
