Happy Independence Day! To celebrate, I rounded up a few of my favorite patriotic posts while I hop on a plane and visit one of my favorite married couples in North Carolina. I thought I’d go for an effortlessly edgy look with this outfit, but it turns out that it was a few weeks too late for warm weather leather. I wish you could’ve seen how much of a hot mess I was — after walking a few blocks, my skirt was completely turned around and it was so hot and humid, that the faux leather stuck to me like glue. After hiding behind a wall to adjust (#bloggerproblems), I got my life together and back on track to looking a little less frazzled and a bit more bedazzled.

This is about the time of year that I begin frantically searching where the past six months went. I can’t believe June is already over. I’d say that January feels like yesterday, but the mix of heat waves and summer storms make that statement seem a little bit farfetched.
Back to the matter at hand: June has brought about a few of my all-time favorite outfits (don’t I say that every month?), chock full of twirly skirts and darling dresses. But now that summer is in full effect, I’ll be trading in my springtime gear for outfits that are more apropos for the sweltering heat and spontaneous adventures. Can’t wait to share!
