Advanced Geometry (Part 3)

There’s nothing like a little refresher course in geometry to kick off the week. Just kidding — I’m not trying to get into anything complex before I have my second cup of coffee this morning.

Mixing prints, on the other hand, is quite elementary. Polka dots make for an easy foundation when pairing up patterns. And when you start off with a blouse in a neutral color, pretty much any combo you concoct will make for an easy A.

Bright & Breezy

Let’s zip over to the other side of the country, where spring is actually in full effect (like it’s supposed to be). This past weekend, I was in San Diego with my family and a trip to California calls for loads of color. I pulled my brightest brights — a neon yellow sweater and a turquoise clutch — and basked in the breezy (not bone chilling!) weather. Let’s hope I managed to bring some of that sunshine back with me to NYC!

Shades of Pale

I don’t care how unseasonably cold it is right now, I’m ready to lighten up — both in layers and color. As I twiddle my thumbs for spring to roll around, I’m gravitating towards shades of pale. You already know how I feel about all things blush, but paired with a crisp white skirt and a pair of silver pumps and maybe — just maybe — I’ll survive this excruciatingly slow transition between seasons.
