Chambray Shirt & Lace Shorts

Let’s rewind to this past weekend, when I basically lived in an outfit of chambray and crochet.  I was so excited to snag these summer shorts for 70% off after passing them up over three months ago!  So excited that I couldn’t take them off.  I took them out to Brooklyn for drinks one night and then to the Upper West Side the next day for brunch.  I wore it two days in a row and thankfully, the boyfriend didn’t judge.  Love is patient, love is kind.  I’d have to agree on both accounts.

Loosen Up

Black & Grey Floral Dress

If I had to pick one word to describe my wardrobe this summer, it would have to be relaxed.  My style definitely loosened up and in turn, I think my attitude and followed suit.  Imagine how much time and energy you save when you keep your outfits fuss-free!  As a result, I basically lived in flowy frocks all season (see my two favorites here and here) and surprise — today’s dress is no exception.

Savoring Summer

Little White Dress & Striped Scarf

While we’re on the subject of summer, I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with the little time we have left together.  Lately, I’ve had fall fashion on my mind (and in my outfits) so much that I almost forgot to savor the rest of this season.  It’s time to slow my roll, switch out my dark nail polish and bring back the brights.  With two weekends left, I foresee a few rooftop bars, a picnic in the park and maybe a last minute getaway.  Enjoy it while it lasts my friends!
