It’s time to tone down the pretty pinks (until tomorrow at least …) and go back to the basics. Mind you that my “basics” usually involve a mixture of leopard and stripes. Separately, they’re a delightful twist on neutrals, but together, they’re an mixed print powerhouse.

Last Sunday, I had the joy of attending the RewardStyle party at the Empire Hotel. Prior to the rooftop party, a few of my lovely blogger friends and I pre-gamed gathered at Krista’s rooftop for outfit photos.
For the party, I scooped up a new dress from Forever 21. I’m obsessed with the texture of this dress and I love that the black and neon combo is the perfect balance of brights for fall. But of course, it wouldn’t be #NYFW if I didn’t turn it up a few notches, so I paired geo print on geo print. The result: a mix of sharp shapes, punctuated with bold accessories throughout — a formula that will never get old!

Post-vacation work weeks are the worst. It feels like forever ago that I was on the west coast, soaking up the sun, and skipping around town without a jacket. I figured I should enjoy the opportunity to wear a dress sans tights one last time before I headed back to NYC. Miss it already!
