This year, I’m determined to dress like it’s autumn, even though the season only lasts about two weeks in Arizona. So when I found this lightweight, oversized sweater at H&M, I knew I had to have it.
You would think that a tiny person in huge clothes would look ridic. Well, you’re partially right.
Although the top pretty much consumes me, I threw in a few tricks to make sure I wasn’t swallowed whole. I tucked in a corner of the sweater so I didn’t look like I was walking around pantless (pretty key, unless your name is Gaga). It’s easy for the shorts to disappear behind all that fabric, but I prefer the bagginess to be balanced with something short and crisp. The statement necklace breaks up the sea of blue and the wedges give me some much needed height. The end result: comfy and chic combined.

During the last week of June, I went on a wonderful, week-long journey to Tokyo and Seoul. Fast forward a few weeks and I finally recovered from jet lag, caught up with work, and uploaded all my favorite photos (you try sifting through 2,000 of them!). It was an incredible adventure experiencing new cultures, exploring different districts, and “mastering” the transit systems.
Although we arrived in the heart of monsoon season, we were lucky to have a few days of sunny weather (read: hot, sticky, and humid!). Thankfully, my lightweight tank and skirt helped battle the humidity while my new crossbody bag (best accessory ever) helped me navigate through the thick Tokyo crowds.
It’s pretty uncommon to find me a completely neutral outfit like this, but with the insane scenery of Tokyo in the backdrop, I’m not complaining.

It doesn’t rain much in Arizona, so when I visited the Midwest in the past two days, I got my first taste of April showers. Unfortunately, the extent of my cold weather gear entailed a pair of leggings and a UA hoodie.
As I stepped into a freezing puddle of muddy water, I immediately realized that my Havaianas were definitely not cutting it. Note to self: invest in some functional, yet cute rain gear when I move out of Arizona.
