Maxed Out

Hot off the trail of my spring maxi dress roundup, I was super excited to don the newest maxi in what will surely be a growing collection. So excited in fact, that I apparently couldn’t wait to hem the dress before I wore it.

A much needed trip to the tailor aside, I actually feel taller in a maxi dress. A soft, solid color elongates the body and a easy flowing fabric enhances that no muss, no fuss look that I’ve been loving lately. Just excuse the pool of fabric around my feet and pretend that it adds to the romance of the look.

Down By The River

On my last day in San Antonio, Emily and I went on a morning stroll to grab coffee. We made our way down to the river walk, which was probably my favorite thing about the city. It definitely puts the Hudson River to shame.

The serene scene called for a simple look: a sleeveless navy dress and delicate jewelry (I gifted and then subsequently stole this delicate chain necklace to and from Em). No muss, no fuss and just the peaceful little river running its course.

Midi Skirt Love

Midi skirts might be my new thing. It started with this red number and then all of a sudden, I have one in bright berry and kelly green. There’s just something undeniably feminine about it. And if you think the over-the-top shape is going to swallow you whole, think again — just make sure you balance your proportions with something chic and simple up top. Pair it with a classic button-up shirt or a Parisian inspired crop top and let the outfit speak for itself.
