This week, I dabbled in a little bit of NYFW and attended the Leanne Marshall Spring/Summer 2014 show. It was the perfect opportunity to give another spring piece a last hurrah by mixing a little of girly with a little bit of grunge.

I’m obsessed with this pink tulle skirt and channeled Carrie Bradshaw the first time I wore it. With fall nipping at our heels, I paired the piece with one of the softest t-shirts I own. Darker accessories take this look from princess to punk.

Hellooo Friday! You rolled around quicker than expected and brought with you a little friend: fall weather. And here I am, still struggling to acclimate with my sheer blouse and hot pink skirt. I was ready to stay in this transitional weather limbo for a little bit longer, but summer is starting to feel like a distant memory already. I’m looking forward to piling on the layers and toning down the brightness — just give me a few more weeks!

There are a few things in life that will never get old: morning strolls by the water, the view of the Manhattan skyline, and floral print frocks. … Okay, so maybe the first two have a little more longevity, but I love that there’s an infinite amount of ways to wear florals. This is my first foray into mirrored prints and I’m really digging the sleek and modern twist on an otherwise everyday classic. This dress will definitely be in heavy rotation both in and out of the office as we transition from summer to fall.
