I’m back to my usual print-mixing self today and I couldn’t be happier! I finally pulled this skirt out of hibernation, but couldn’t decide whether to dress it up or down — so I went for both! A little leopard heel and a gingham shirt bring a bit of balance to this surprisingly fun outfit.

summer sequins.

There’s something about a touch (or punch) of sequin that adds instant glam to any outfit. Wearing sequins during the day is one of my favorite ways to combine casual and chic pieces. Because even though I don’t have any special occasions lined up, I won’t let that stop me from sprinkling in a little sparkle.

an (almost) ode to black.

After overdosing on color from yesterday’s outfit, my best friend asked me to give an ode to black. I just about died laughing at the request. She lives in LA and wears mostly dark shades while I live in NYC and wear mostly colorful brights — it’s quite a comical contrast. Well boo, this is as good as it’s gonna get: my (almost) ode to black, because it wouldn’t be me without a few pops of neon.
