Even though summer just barely started, I’m already back on the grind at work. I love my job, but working the 9 to 5 life has made me appreciate weekends more than ever. So as I’m counting down the hours left in the work week, I thought I’d share one of my favorite weekend looks.

By now, it’s no surprise that I’m obsessed with rompers. Seriously, I’d wear them everyday if I could! I think they’re the perfect summer staple — lightweight, versatile, and (most importantly) easy to thrown on. I paired this fuchsia piece with a floral print button-up for coverage and a leopard print skinny belt for definition.

The weekend uniform is ready … now I just need the weekend to get here.

So I definitely spoke to soon when I said spring was over.  This past weekend, we got hit with some unexpected April showers, which reduced the temp to blazer-worthy weather.  I’m not a big fan of the cold, but I’ll jump at the opportunity to wear my jackets a few more times before they go back into hibernation.

The bold navy & white stripes makes this blazer borderline circus ringmaster (as my bf lovingly refers to it), so I toned it down with a solid gray tank and flowy white skirt.

We may still be a few months away from summer, but that didn’t stop me from busting out a romper last week.  I absolutely adore these one-piece getups.  As the temperature rises, the layers of clothing decrease, and a romper offers a simple solution for casual attire.

While my initial experiences wearing a romper were limited to poolside activities, I began embracing it for its youthful versatility.  I prefer a romper with a fun pattern (of course) and a little frill at the bust to minimize frumpiness.  Throw on a skinny belt and wedges, and this outfit is ready to go places beyond the beach.
