My first pair of shoes are the most adorable patent pumps from Kate Spade! I would’ve never thought to invest in a pair of polka dot heels, but it turns out that they go with everything — including more polka dots!

I took these photos on Sunday morning, just before Hurricane Sandy rolled into town. The overcast was perfect for shooting, but the wind left my hair disheveled in a lot of the pics. Well, thankfully, I survived the wrath of Frankestorm — my very first hurricane — and am looking forward to enjoying my weekend in windless peace! Happy Friday all!

NYC’s skies have been covered in clouds for the past few days. On top of that, the days are getting shorter as the sun becomes slow to rise and quick to set.
