I recently scored this sweater at Zara. I loved how cozy and effortless the sweater felt, but I was even more obsessed with the faux leather paneling on the shoulders. Between surviving Hurricane Sandy, escaping a snowstorm, and celebrating my first post-grad Homecoming, I think it’s accurate to say my life has been a bit crazy lately. Amidst the chaos, I find it refreshing to go back to the basics. No frills. No fuss. Just classic color combinations, simple styling, and deep breaths. Happy Monday friends.

I took these photos on Sunday morning, just before Hurricane Sandy rolled into town. The overcast was perfect for shooting, but the wind left my hair disheveled in a lot of the pics. Well, thankfully, I survived the wrath of Frankestorm — my very first hurricane — and am looking forward to enjoying my weekend in windless peace! Happy Friday all!
