Last week, I went off the grid during my trip back home to the west coast — no posts, no Instagrams, and only a handful of random tweets (to celebrate my first bite of In ‘n Out in almost a year, obvi). The radio silence made me slightly uneasy, but I was in desperate need for a little unplugging. Now I’m back in NYC and suffering a major case of post-vacay blues. The cure? This past weekend, the boyfriend and I drove up to Rhode Island for a little birthday getaway. We ate and drank our way through Providence and Newport, laid out by the sea, and hung out with the Vanderbilts. It was a quick trip, but packed with plenty of exploration and sightseeing.
For our stroll through the Brown University campus, I put on my version of the summer suit: a double dose of denim topped with a light gray blazer and cognac accessories. A little bit casual, a little bit collegiate and a whole lot of chic.
