Hi there!  Welcome to Skirt The Rules, a life and style blog that throws proverbial and sartorial rules out the window by living and dressing without bounds.

My name is Jen Dang, an Arizona native, an NYC transplant and a lover of donuts, puppies and mixed prints.  I blog to share outfit inspirations, shopping tips, and other musings of being a twenty-something living, working, and playing in the city.

My personal style philosophy is to keep fashion fresh.  I’m a big believer in mixing timeless pieces with pops of color and unexpected details.  Like you, I’m a real girl on a real budget and I hope you join me on my little journey in keeping fashion fun, relatable, and accessible!

    I love your last remark about being a “real girl on a real budget”! That is how I feel about the jewelry I make, I am a stay-at-home-mom/jewelry designer and I strive to make beautiful pieces that people can relate to AND afford!
    I also just returned from vacation and can relate to your post-vacation blues, back to the real world!
