You know when you do something for the first time in a long time and you wonder, “Why don’t I do this more often?” That’s how I feel every time I visit the Brooklyn.

Maxi Dresses for Petite Girls

There are plenty of advantages to exploring the boroughs outside of Manhattan (some of which include amazing food, more laid back vibes and a slightly cheaper cost of living) but the best part has to be looking back and seeing the incredible views of the city. It never ever gets old.

James and I made our way to Brooklyn Bridge Park – a sprawling area of lawns, running paths and open space to play. I twirled around in this floral print maxi dress while James played Pokémon Go (it’s okay to judge him). We watched the ferries cruise up and down the East River before the sun finally set behind the skyscrapers. Even though it’s not that far, it’s the perfect escape from the city and I’m making it a goal to get myself over to this little oasis more often.
