If you didn’t noticed on my Instagram feed over the past week, I finally pulled the trigger on a major purchase and I couldn’t be happier.

I’m talking about my Fendi 2Jours tote. Eeee!!!

I’ve never spent this much money on a handbag ever, so I wanted to be sure that this was a piece that I would love and wear forever before I pressed “Add to Cart.” I finally felt ready over the holidays after I had saved up enough money and cashed out after selling a ton of clothes on Poshmark. I also stalked Bluefly on a weekly basis for an entire year to see what color of the Fendi 2Jours they had in stock. The week of Christmas, the classic black version popped up online and was ON SALE. It was a no brainer and I have no regrets.

So if you’re looking to make a major purchase in 2016, here’s my advice to you: think about it. A lot. And when you start to feel certain, think about it some more. Is it the style you want? Is it at a price point you can afford (or save up for)? Have you scoured different sites and stores to see if there are any deals? Do you love it because it’s on sale or because that’s what you’ve had your heart set on for as you can remember? A year ago, I almost bought the same style in a different color that I didn’t absolutely love because it was on sale. After scoring a pretty decent discount for the most classic color, I’m so happy I waited until the right one came along.
